PlascoTrac by Plasco ID Named as a New ISV Partner for Pearson
Industry leading student-information system announces a joint development effort to further enhance integration and sharing options between PlascoTrac and PowerSchool.
7/25/2011 - Miami, Florida - Plasco ID is pleased announce that PlascoTrac has been named an ISV Partner for Pearson, makers of the leading student information system, PowerSchool. Participation in the ISV program paves the way for additional integration and development opportunities between PlascoTrac and PowerSchool.
"We have been working with PowerSchool users for about 5 years now," commented Robert Alonso, PlascoTrac Product Manager. "We have always approached the development of PlascoTrac from an integration standpoint and we don't want to create "silo'd" systems inside schools. Being a member of Pearson's ISV Program will help us stay aligned with the Pearson development roadmap, and opens the door to a new level of integration options between PlascoTrac and PowerSchool."
The top districts, and thousands of users are using PlascoTrac successfully every day. The modular system helps schools get a handle on tardies and other minor disciplinary infractions, eliminates classroom interruptions and puts an end to hours of data entry by attendance clerks. PlascoTrac also brings together a suite of tools to help administrators make information-based decisions on the success of their positive behavior and discipline policies. PlascoTrac options include mobile operations, event tracking, visitor management, district-level reporting capabilities, and integration with SIS systems like PowerSchools, Chancery, and others.
“We are pleased to formalize our relationship with PlascoTrac,” said Oliver Wreford, Director of Strategic Alliances at Pearson School Systems. “We look forward to working closely with our partners at PlascoTrac to help our customers more effectively track, manage and act upon the student information that is essential to their daily operations.”
The data collected by PlascoTrac, for both discipline-related incidents as well as positive behavior and merit points, can be shared with PowerSchool seamlessly. School administrators can use data collected by PlascoTrac for decision-making on the spot, or as part of parent-teacher conferences. Adding this valuable data to the PowerSchool student record data provides administrators a more complete view of a student’s behavior.
Additional features and functionality will be announced shortly. PlascoTrac will announce the general release a new version of the PlascoTrac platform in August. In addition, PlascoTrac will be a sponsor the PowerSchool User Group (PSUG) National User Conference in Las Vegas July 25-27, 2011.
