ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL INCREASES CLASSROOM ATTENDANCE TO OVER 90%
New System Uses Latest Technologies to Track Student Activities & Reduce Disciplinary Violations
St. Louis, Missouri (November 5, 2010)-Within one week of PlascoTrac system implementation, St. Louis’ Roosevelt High School has raised their classroom attendance to over 90%; a new record for the school district.
PlascoTrac is an automated system used to track student truancy and discipline violations. When a violation occurs, the student’s ID card is scanned at the place of violation and PlascoTrac logs the incident, prints a pass with the appropriate consequence and allows students to move on to class in a few seconds. In addition to tracking student tardiness, Roosevelt High School will also be using PlascoTrac Mobile units for remote tracking of event attendance at school dances, after-school programs and sporting events.
“PlascoTrac has drastically improved students punctuality and accountability. Students are running to class when the bell rings. This gives teachers less interruptions and more instructional time with their students,” said Terry Houston, Principal at Roosevelt High School.
“The PlascoTrac system is meant to help schools in the midst of budget cuts,” said Alan Mendelson, President of Plasco ID. “PlascoTrac allows existing staff to work more efficiently while creating/sustaining a constructive learning environment for students.”
