PlascoTrac Mobile is by far our most popular add-on to the PlascoTrac Main Station because it gives schools the ability to be in multiple places at once. With PlascoTrac Mobile, you gain functionality similar to the PlascoTrac Main Station, but in a small, portable package. PlascoTrac Mobile is a lightweight, handheld device that is hardly bigger than a mobile phone, and a portable thermal printer (similar to what you would see used at the rental car return line) that work in conjunction to allow administrators, security personnel and hall monitors to track student activity and infractions all around campus.
Mobile Units have a built-in infrared scanner that can read barcodes on student ID cards. If an ID card isn't available, you can perform a simple look-up to find a student record, print a pass if necessary, and quickly get the student on their way to class within seconds. Data from one or many Mobile devices is synchronized back to the Main Station so all of your remote activities are always captured back into the main database as well.
